Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination
In 2018, the SSC examination will start on 1st February. The theoretical exams will end up on 24th February. After that, the practicals will take place. About 14,32,727 students have completed their registration for SSC exam 2018. The maximum students are from the Dhaka board.

What is SSC EXAM
SSC stands for Secondary School Certificate.This examination certifies the completion of secondary education in Bangladesh.
Students who are in class 10/10th grade can appear for this exam. Without passing this exam, a student can not study further in the country.
This exam includes students from 3 groups such as Science, Humanities and Business Studies. All these groups have different subjects of their own. But they have a few common subject like Bangla, English, Mathematics, and ICT(Information & Communication Technology).
Though e exam paper is prepared in two versions. One is in Bangla medium and another is in English medium. But the subjects and syllabus remain same.
Each subject carries 100 marks in the exam. There are multiple choice question (MCQ) with multiple options, open-ended questions that claim short formative answers, and essay writing. There is another part called Practical exam for special subjects from each group. Students have to pass in each part separately otherwise they won’t be promoted.
The pass mark for each subject is 33. Without scoring 33, no student can be promoted to the next level. In that case, he/she has to give exam in the next year.
SSC Exam Procedures
At first, students need to fill the registration form given the education board from their school. After successful registration, students get the registration card from the education board.
Admit card is usually given 7 to 15 days before the exam. Generally, the distribution responsibilities lie on school authority. Students must need to bring their admit card and registration in every exam.
Each exam is 3 hours long. If any subject includes MCQ part then students have to return other scripts before 30 minutes and then start answering the MCQ part. Students get 30 minutes for this part.
SSC Exam Mark Distribution
Like other public exams, the result of SSC exam publishes in GPA system. Grade point achieved for every subject by the students are first counted and then got averaged in GPA System. When a student scores 80 or more in a subject, his/her gets 5.00 point. If the mark stays between 70 to 79, then GP is 4.00. By this way, GP achieved from each subject is counted and from that, the final result is calculated.
